The team:

We are a fast, tight-knit group of highly-experienced technical individuals, both in code and business experience. Our team has launched multiple startups, many of which have been purchased by Fortune 1000 - 100 companies. We have experience building everything from ETL engines to highly polished native mobile applications. We are a team that works hard, works fast, and expects great results.

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Take2's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentives, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

Base Salary Range: $125,000 - $200,000 USD

Your job:

As a Senior Engineering Lead, you would work with clients to interpret client business needs, mocks, and specs into a cohesive build strategy, and use a collection of remote teams to execute that strategy. You would be responsible for ensuring remote teams hit predetermined internal metrics for performance, as well as uplifting your teams through more complicated technical & development requirements. You would be responsible for reporting each of your teams' progress on a daily basis to leadership, and on a weekly basis to clients. Additionally, your teams will rely on you for architectural solutions and implementation guidance on a regular basis.

You would provide technical leadership (and occasionally, individual contributions) to all client projects and teams, and would serve as an advisor to leadership on all technical fronts.

  • Lead, inspire, and influence to make sure your team is successful
  • Partner with clients to interpret their needs and translate those needs into successful builds
  • Establish great rapport with other development teams, Clients, Product Managers, Sales, and Customer Success to maintain high levels of visibility, efficiency, and collaboration
  • Ensure teams have appropriate technical direction, leadership, and balance between short-term impact and long term architectural vision.
  • Lead 2-3 software engineering teams and help grow them to about 4-6

Job Requirements

  • 3-4+ years managing software engineering teams in Web, API & Mobile products
  • Experience leading a geographically distributed software engineering organization comprising multiple teams
  • Strong technical background that allows you to advocate for and support your engineers
  • Experience building strong partnerships with other job functions, like Product, Marketing, and UX, to keep teams collaborating smoothly and working together to improve the product.
  • Strong desire to understand the root cause of issues and details of systems, get hands-on with data and analysis to evaluate how the team and the product are growing.
  • Experience with service-oriented and event-driven system architectures, building high-performance distributed systems
  • Comfortable with implementing high levels of quality assurance across teams
